Tasmania’s aerial firefighting fleet is ready to fight fire from the skies this bushfire season, with 9 specialised aircraft already in place in the south and 6 more arriving before Christmas. Through the National Aerial Firefighting Centre (NAFC), Tasmania has access to 15 aircraft which will be used by TFS, Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service and Sustainable Timber Tasmania.
