Escalation against cartels: In a recent Fox News interview, President Trump said the U.S. has “knocked out” most drug-smuggling by water and is now going to “start…hitting land,” framing it as an escalation against cartels he claims are “running Mexico.” He gave no operational specifics, but presented the shift as moving beyond maritime efforts. The segment also tied the anti-cartel posture to broader regional security messaging from the administration. Thoughts? #CurrentEvents #EscalationAgains

New York drug dealer crackdown: Federal authorities cracked down on a New York Greenwich Village area park’s round-the-clock, open-air drug market. K-12 foreign influence: More than 160 House Democrats voted against two Republican-led bills aimed at limiting foreign influence in U.S. schools, even though both measures still passed with bipartisan support. One bill would block federal funds from K–12 schools that receive money or support from the Chinese government or its affiliates. The other would require public schools to notify parents that they can request information about any “foreign influence” in their child’s school. Comments? #Cur
